Rightmove is a great website to use when selling a home along with the other selling portals like Zoopla.
When a property is listed there is usually a spike in online views and interest as a new home hits the market. This usually drops off after a couple weeks as can viewings so it’s important to have a strategy to keep the online views up and maintain bookings to view the property.
Your agent should be providing you with a regular update of whats happening with online views as there are reports that can easily be run from the Rightmove dashboard.
Ask your agent what plan they have in place should interest drop off.
Here are a couple of things you can do.
Rightmove has a number of tools like “featured property”. This will display your property at the top of the page for a given search even if it should really be at the bottom according to the sort order. This is a great way to boost views.
Changing the main picture can be another good way to keep the listing fresh. People buy for different reasons so maybe a buyer doesn’t like the front of the house but seeing the back garden encourages them to book a viewing as they picture the BBQs they can have there.
These are just two of many things that you do to maintain a steady level of viewings.
